What goes wrong

Gameplay and design52%
No workers, growth is boring, cities cannot bombard, you cannot properly liberate cities or civs, and the available civs and leaders are mostly rubbish.
Price and value11%
♥♥♥♥ of VII - Main issue is the game is far too expensive [...] those titles being initially released in 2011, 15 years ago.
Controls and UI9%
This game's UI is a crime.
Not enough content6%
Unfortunately at this point the game still feels unfinished which is disappointing.
Bugs and crashes5%
This game as it is now is unplayable.

What goes well

Gameplay is fun45%
The combat is the most fun I've had with a civ game and the developers have implemented a ton of community feedback to improve UI and age transitions. This is my go to Civ game now!

Lots of content and value2%
Excellent game with endless replayability. Loved the changes to it and recommend it to any previous Civ player.

I played this during the free week, and it's just not finished yet. I was able to do a full single-player campaign in less than 16 hours if that tells you anything. The game just kinda ends abruptly.
Playing with friends39%
It forces you to link a 2K account to play multiplayer. Awful, beyond awful even. Don't force me to use your backwards account system because you want your metrics up and data analytics up.
Relaxing8%
I have been playing Civ 5 for some time now, and I was thinking of expanding on Civilizations that are in Civ 7. Never played 6, figured that it would be the same with some upgrades.
