Privacy policy
OneStar keeps as little personal data as it can. This page lists what is stored, why, and who processes it.
What we store
- Your email address, an optional name and, for Google sign-in, nothing beyond your email.
- Your workspace, reports, tracked products and usage counts.
- Subscription state from Polar (ids and status only; no card data ever reaches OneStar).
- Your email consent choices, with the wording shown and when you chose.
- IP addresses only as daily-salted hashes, for rate limits and abuse prevention.
Reviews
OneStar reads public store reviews. Raw review text is not stored; only short excerpts of at most 200 characters. Author names are never read. Personal details are scrubbed before any text is sent to the model.
Sign-in links and security notices are always sent. Alerts and the weekly digest follow your Settings. Product updates are sent only if you opt in, and every such email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Processors
- Vercel hosts this website and its sign-in.
- Fly.io runs the analysis service.
- Neon stores the database (accounts, workspaces, reports).
- Cloudflare protects the service and runs the spam check on sign-in.
- Resend sends sign-in links, alerts and opted-in updates.
- Polar merchant of record for payments, tax and invoices.
- TypeSafe runs the Jev model that judges reviews; it does not train on customer data.
Your choices
In Settings you can export your workspace as JSON and delete your account. Deletion cancels any subscription first, then removes your user, workspace, reports and consents within 30 days. Backups keep at most 7 days of history.
